The results are in from the 2026 Perth Royal Food Awards, and this is (another) one for the history books. Our Garlic Prawn Pie has been crowned Champion Pie, our Chocolate Eclair has taken out Champion Pastry, and our apprentice has been named Most Successful Apprentice Exhibitor.

A Champion Year for WA’s Most Awarded Bakery
Run by the Royal Agricultural Society of WA, the Perth Royal Food Awards put entries from across the state in front of expert judges who assess everything from appearance and aroma to texture and taste. Nine results came home to Miami Bakehouse this year, taking our tally to over 1200 national and state baking awards.

Champion Pie: Our Garlic Prawn Pie
This pie has legendary status amongst West Australians, and now it has the title to match. Succulent prawns in our creamy garlic sauce, wrapped in our signature flaky pastry - first Gold in the Gourmet Open Pie class, then Champion Pie of the 2026 Perth Royal Food Awards.

Champion Pastry: Our Apprentices’ Chocolate Eclair
The sweetest part of this year’s haul? Our Chocolate Eclair won Gold in the Choux Pastry class and was named Champion Pastry Exhibited by an Apprentice or Pre-Apprentice - made by the next generation of Miami bakers. With our team also taking home the trophy for Most Successful Apprentice Exhibitor, the future of WA baking is in very good hands.
