How We Make the Perfect Cup of Coffee at Miami Bakehouse

For most people, coffee is not just a drink - it’s about starting your day on the right foot, or taking a quick break from work, or meeting up with friends for a chat

With coffee being such an essential part of our lives, it’s no wonder that the perfect cup of coffee is something that many of us strive for. From the right beans to the perfect grind, to the ideal brewing method, there are many factors that contribute to making the perfect cup of coffee.

At Miami Bakehouse, we take our coffee seriously. Our team of barista trained professionals are passionate about crafting the perfect cup of coffee for our customers every single time. From selecting the best beans to expertly frothing milk, we follow a meticulous process to ensure that each cup is rich, flavourful, and satisfying. In this post, we’ll walk you through our process step by step, so you can learn how we make the perfect cup of coffee at Miami Bakehouse.

At Miami Bakehouse, we source only the finest coffee beans from around the world. Our barista trained professionals pay extra attention to the origin, processing, and freshness of the beans. We determine the coffee’s origin as it affects a coffee’s acidity, texture, and flavour profile. We seek 100% Arabica Beans, which are known for their sweet, smooth, aromatic flavour.

We ensure are beans are freshly roasted, as coffee beans lose much of their aroma and flavour within days of roasting. By selecting the high-quality coffee beans, we can ensure that every cup of coffee we serve has a distinct and rich flavour.

After selecting the beans, we grind them fresh everyday. The grind size depends on the brewing method we use — for drip coffee, we use a medium grind size. Inconsistent coffee grinds produce a less than perfect cup of coffee; hence coffee grind size is very important in coffee making.

The water temperature is key in ensuring that the coffee is brewed perfectly. We recommend the temperature of the water to be around 200°F (93°C). If the water is too hot, it can burn the coffee and produce an over-extracted flavour. On the other hand, if the water is not hot enough, the coffee will be under-extracted, leading to poor taste and aroma.

In keeping with great Italian tradition Miami Bakehouse has the finest La Marzocco coffee machines all the way from Florence in Italy. La Marzocco has been crafting this equipment since 1927 and the machines are still handmade.

At Miami Bakehouse, we pay attention to the details, even when it comes to adding milk or creamer to our coffee. We’re experts in milk frothing and latte art, which we use to enhance the coffee experience. Our barista trained professionals perfectly froth milk to create our lattes and cappuccinos to perfection. By paying attention to every detail, we create the perfect cup of coffee every time.
