Production Manager Food Manufacturing

This is a key leadership role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced production environment, loves working with people, and is genuinely driven by results. You will work closely with team leaders, be highly organised, and take ownership of key production metrics across the bakery.

This is a full-time, hands-on role based in our central food manufacturing kitchen in Mandurah. Reporting to the General Manager and working as part of the Senior Management Team, you will take ownership of production performance across the bakery. Your focus will be driving results across labour efficiency, wastage control, sold-outs and quality, while ensuring strong operational discipline across all shifts. You will directly lead our Cake and Bread teams, ensuring those areas consistently perform, remain well organised, and operate with strong systems and quality standards. This is not a desk-based position. You will be visible on the production floor, closely connected to the team, and actively identifying opportunities to improve workflow, capability and overall performance. The role is primarily Monday–Friday, with flexibility required across production hours and weekends/public holidays as needed.

About You:

This role will suit someone with proven leadership experience in food production or manufacturing who can operate confidently at both a strategic and practical level.

Your background may be in food manufacturing, FMCG, ready meals, large-scale catering or central production kitchens. Bakery experience is not essential.

To succeed, you will need to be:
• Highly organised and strong with systems, planning and follow-through
• Comfortable having direct conversations and holding others accountable
• Experienced in managing wages, rostering and production KPIs
• Process-driven, with a practical mindset for continuous improvement
• Calm under pressure, with strong attention to detail
• A visible leader who enjoys being on the floor with the team
