Facilities Administration Officer job in Mandurah

Are you a Jack / Jill of all things and love a challenge? This varied role will suit someone who enjoys being hands on and is happy to get up from their desk to problem solve and troubleshoot.

This is not a handyman role. You will be capable of routine administration, love trips to Bunnings and be comfortable with a screwdriver.

Working from our Mandurah office, you will be part of a team that performs a broad facilities management function. You will assist with the administration, property management and equipment upkeep across 6 sites. You will take pride in ensuring sites and equipment are maintained and presented at a high standard. You will conduct routine inspections to all site buildings, coordinate with contractors and monitor the servicing schedule.

Providing assistance to the female Facilities Manager, responsibilities include:

 

  • Assisting with the day-to-day operations of the maintenance function

  • Receive, assess, manage and monitor all maintenance requests

  • Schedule and coordinate trades and service contractors as required through to job completion

  • Effective planning and scheduling of proactive and reactive maintenance in a timely manner and within budget

  • Obtain quotes, parts, and equipment promptly

  • Assisting to troubleshoot breakdowns as/when required

  • Ad hoc administrative support and project type tasks

 

This is a big (and rewarding!) job and not for the faint hearted. To succeed in this role, you will be an extremely organised person with the ability to prioritise a high-volume workload with competing demands.

You will need to have:

  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills

  • A proactive and resourceful approach to problem solving

  • Demonstrated experience in coordinating trade and other services contractors

  • Strong time management

  • Flexibility to start earlier or work later if the day doesn't go to plan

  • A Drivers' Licence and police clearance

  • Proficient Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel & Word) skills
