This role is all about driving the performance of the retail side of the business. You will be responsible for increasing group sales through your team of Managers who have two clear metrics - sales and wages.

 

Key accountabilities of the role:

  • Build the financial performance of 5 retail outlets, and upcoming new sites, ensuring budgets are met and targets achieved.

  • Coach and develop your 12 direct reports (Managers & Assistant Managers) to lead the broader retail team (50+)

  • Lead the daily operations of your teams, ensuring all the elements that create a brilliant customer experience are delivered consistently.

  • Ensure compliance with company systems and standards.

  • Oversee recruitment and training of your team including identifying and implementing development plans

The Retail Operations Manager is a key member of Miami's Senior Management Team. You will be involved in developing and executing quarterly strategies which contribute to the company's growth plans.

 

This role is approx 46 hours/week and generally has one weekend day off each week. The business has a very consistent annual trading rhythm around holiday travel periods. This enables you to set days off across each quarter in advance, however, you must still be flexible and committed to working when required in order to maximise sales.

 

About you

This is a big job. For longevity in the role our ideal candidate will live within 40 minutes of our head office in Mandurah. You will be:

  • Able to hold the team accountable for daily operations and results.

  • A forward-thinking hospitality manager with 3-5 years' experience and at least 2 years multi-site experience.

  • Experienced in interpreting financial results (sales and wages related) and understanding how changes to operations can impact the results.

  • Able to walk into a store and readily identify what's working and what's not.

  • Excellent at planning, organising and managing your time.

  • A team player who is skilled at motivating and managing teams.

  • An effective delegator, because you can't do it all yourself.

  • Energised, positive and ready to hit the ground running
