Miami Bakehouse Takes Baker's Dozen

The number 13 is unlucky for some, but not for the fabulous pie baking team at Miami Bakehouse.

At the last national baking event for the year, the Great Aussie Pie Competition, The Miami Bakehouse team went for the bakers’ dozen, hoping to win 13 medals for 13 entries. The number 13 has proven to bring great luck! Miami won 12 gold medals and one bronze medal at the contest held in Sydney this week.

Some of the fabulous flavours entered by Miami Bakehouse team included Lamb Rendang, Peri Peri Vegetables, Chicken Laksa and Smokey Bourbon Pork pie, all wrapped in the legendary Miami Bakehouse handmade pastry. Watch out for the latest Pie of the Week releases to try some of these pie flavours!

Miami Bakehouse also took out the award for the BEST VEGETARIAN PIE IN AUSTRALIA!

David Palmer, owner of Miami Bakehouse said he’s very proud of the team’s consistent results again this year.

“We work hard throughout the year fine tuning our recipes with fresh local ingredients so that we continuously delight our customers with exciting flavours. Our Classic Steak Pie is a great example of this and won a gold medal from the judges in Sydney.”
