If you are a Filipino currently working outside the Philippines, Miami Bakehouse has several positions available to work in Australia and become a permanent resident.

After an initial period, we will help you with the process to bring your family to join you in Australia.

We are located in Mandurah, Western Australia, just outside Perth. Miami Bakehouse is a highly regarded bakery/cafe business and we have won over 900 awards for our products. Join our award-winning team and build your career with us!

During the last 18 years we have successfully sponsored 19 Pastry Cooks, Bakers and Chefs with 11 coming from the Philippines.

 

The initial visa will be a 400 Short Stay Visa which enables you to enter and work in Australia quickly. Successful candidates will fly to Australia and commence work as soon as possible. Current visa processing time is 2-3 weeks. Once onshore in Australia we would begin the process of applying for a visa with a pathway to permanent residency.

About Your New Role

Reporting to the Bakery Team Leader, you will bake over 50 different products from our delicious range of savouries, celebration cakes, individual cakes, slices and biscuits. This is a hands-on role in which 95% of your time will be spent at the bench mixing, cutting, piping, glazing and decorating alongside the Pastry Team. You will also assist with ordering ingredients and quality control.

 

This is a permanent full-time role working 38 hours each week between the hours of 8am and 6pm including some weekend work.

To Be Successful

To be successful in this role you will be a qualified Pastry cook or Pastry Chef with at least 2 - 3 years’ experience. You will have a strong interest in baking sweet and savoury pastries and can move fast and work quickly.

The team at Miami Bakehouse handcraft over 150 varieties of unique gourmet products baked fresh every day, suppling our 6 retail stores. We employ over 100 people across the group, 30 of which are employed in the central Mandurah bakery as Pastrycooks, Bakers, Chefs, Apprentices, and Baking Assistants.
