Head Pastrycook Team Leader role in Mandurah

  • $60,000 - $65, 000 + Super / Full Time (42hrs/wk)

About the role

We are looking for a Head Pastrycook to lead our Patisserie and Savoury team in Mandurah, Western Australia. You will be responsible for overseeing the complete operation of your department and ensuring that we only deliver the very highest standard of product quality and presentation. This is a full-time role salaried role (42 hours/week) Monday to Saturday – No Sundays!

 
To succeed in this role, you will have:

  • Extensive experience in the industry with relevant qualifications

  • Good knowledge in all aspects of Food Hygiene and OH&S

  • A high energy and positive can-do attitude

  • Ability to work fast paced and under pressure to meet high volume production demands, KPI's and budgets.

  • A flexible, adaptable and hands-on approach, willing to work as part of a team

  • Flexible availability including weekends and public holidays.

  • Previous management experience in a Bakery or similar would be highly regarded

Key responsibilities:

  • Training, developing and managing a small baking team (6-8)

  • Identify and implement continuous process improvements

  • Innovative and creative product development

  • Troubleshooting production issues

  • Managing labour efficiency on the shift

  • Forecasting production numbers using established systems/processes

  • Ensuring consistently high standards of quality

  • Rostering and coordinating staff
