Assistant Accountant job in
Mandurah and Peel Region

We have an immediate vacancy for a full time Assistant Accountant to assist with a broad range of accounting and reporting functions.

This is an integral role in our busy office and requires the successful person to have extensive accounting experience and a proven track record in a similar role.
 

Based in Mandurah, this role heavily involves completion of end of month reports, cashflow reporting and assisting in the preparation, review and reconciliation of accounts and subsequent reporting for multi entity activities.

This role will assist with:

  • Month-end and year-end processes

  • Reconciliations: General ledger, balance sheet, bank statements, credit cards

  • Budget preparation and 12-month forecasts

  • Group consolidations and inter-entity processes

  • Ad hoc tasks and analysis projects for business management

  • Assist with weekly payroll with various awards and industrial agreements

Skills and Experience:

  • Relevant degree qualifications

  • Experience working with complex accounts, preferably in a group reporting capacity

  • Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills

  • Advanced Excel and MYOB skills

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills

  • Police clearance and valid driver's license

  • Availability to work some public holiday on a shared roster with the accounts team
